I still remember Renee asking me on the phone if I liked this song because she was going to make me a tape. (I still have the tape.) This was the beginning of a long-term love, adoration, and appreciation of Miss Polly Jean. Dry, Rid of Me, and 4-Track Demos continue to be three of my most favorite albums/cds of all times. She is my favorite female artist and in my top five artists overall. Her music helped me deal with a lot of bullshit and realize my strengths. I saw her live when I was pregnant with Adair (but didn't know it yet). It is funny because he can hum any of the songs from those three albums. (I love my boy.) I bought Rid of Me on cd before I purchased a cd player. To this day, I buy her cds when they come out no matter what. I never even saw this video. In fact, I do not remember seeing any of her videos until Down By the Water.
